Overview
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency’s Division of Materials and Waste Management (DMWM) seeks a senior staff attorney to provide legal support for operations‑critical work, including negotiating environmental enforcement cases, drafting legal contracts, environmental covenants, and other agreements.
Responsibilities- Draft and negotiate enforcement‑related documents, including environmental covenants and access agreements.
- Conduct legal research and provide legal advice to staff and senior management, and support rule making and legislation related to Ohio’s solid waste laws.
- Review public records for confidentiality and public disclosure, and review and draft contracts, grants, access agreements and environmental covenants.
- Provide legal advice on procedural requirements related to permitting or licensing activities, and negotiate environmental enforcement cases.
- Admission to Ohio Bar pursuant to Section 4705.01 of Revised Code.
- Minimum 12 months experience as licensed attorney.
- Minimum 6 months experience in employee training and development.
