Supreme Court of Ohio seeks a Law Clerk/Judicial Attorney to work in the chambers of Chief Justice Sharon L. Kennedy. The position commences on September 1, 2026, and runs through August 30, 2027.
What You’ll DoLaw clerks and judicial attorneys review and analyze arguments presented in a variety of motions, memoranda, and briefs involving all areas of the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction under Article IV, Section 2(B) of the Ohio Constitution. In addition, they research and prepare initial drafts of merit opinions at the direction of the Chief Justice.
What We’re Looking ForThe successful applicant will be a recent graduate from law school or a licensed attorney with exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills. Elite performance in law school, participation on a law review or moot court board, or publication of a noteworthy article is preferred. Prior clerkship experience will be considered positively. The ability to work independently, collaboratively, and efficiently is required.
The position demands daily work in the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center in Columbus.
