This role is an onsite role. You will be required to work at the {INSERT BUILDING NAME HERE} in {INSERT CITY/STATE HERE} during your set working schedule.

This role is a remote role. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

This role is hybrid. This means you will be expected to report to one of our Aflac offices located in {INSERT CITY/STATE HERE} for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.

• If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. • If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. • Extensive Group Life/Disability underwriting knowledge
• Strong understanding of Group Life and Disability products and services, affiliated systems and applicable operational policies and procedures
• Has extensive knowledge of changes to policies, procedures, and governance tools, to ensure processes are up‑to‑date, reflect new policies and facilitate implementation within own work area
• Expert in experience rating Life, STD, LTD, leave products and analyzing competitor experience data
• Aptitude to prepare and deliver clear, data‑driven presentations to Senior Leadership for high impact prospects, which incorporates strategic underwriting analysis
• Demonstrated ability to engage and build relationships with external broker partners and customers, while providing underwriting guidance throughout new business finalist presentations and/or renewal stewardship meetings

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• 5 years of financial underwriting experience with Group Life, STD, LTD and Leave products for National Account employer groups exceeding 5,000 covered lives or 8 years of financial underwriting experience with Group Life, STD, LTD, and Leave products, including 3 years of experience for National Account employer groups exceeding 5,000 covered lives

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
