Job SummaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic and forward‑thinking intern to lead projects focused on implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) best practice within our organization. This internship is ideal for a student passionate about artificial intelligence, process improvement, and practical, real‑world problem solving. The intern will work cross‑functionally to research, design, and execute a scalable AI‑related improvement that aligns with our business needs.
This position will be in Columbus, OH
Key Responsibilities- Drive an end‑to‑end project to implement an AI best practice (e.g., workflow enhancement, responsible AI control, data governance improvement, automation opportunity, etc.).
- Conduct research on AI frameworks, industry standards, and emerging best practices relevant to the assigned project area.
- Partner with stakeholders across functions to gather requirements, understand current processes, and define success metrics.
- Develop documentation including proposals, implementation plans, testing plans, and progress updates.
- Build simple prototypes or process maps to demonstrate recommended solutions (as applicable).
- Implement AI Agents and other tools that support simplification, productivity and speed.
- Present final findings and outcomes to leadership at the completion of the internship.
- 2+ years pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong interest in artificial intelligence, automation, or data‑driven process improvement.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
- Comfortable working independently and driving a project with support from mentors.
- Basic understanding of AI concepts (e.g., machine learning, large language models, responsible AI) is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with AI tools or platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).
- Experience with research, data analysis, or process mapping.
- Project management or organizational skills.
