The Ohio State University’s Innovation and Commercialization team within the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge (ERIK) utilizes knowledge and expertise to monitor ongoing partnerships with outside entities and a portfolio of startups under the direction, of the Associate Vice President of Health Science Innovation and Technology. The Alliance Associate will play a critical role in monitoring business development transactions to existing strategic alliance partnerships at The Ohio State University, under a program which involves a diligent and routine tracking process that monitors the terms of a license agreement to ensure proper and timely technology development and payment of royalties and fees, equitable treatment of licensees, and maximizes value and revenue from Ohio State intellectual property.

This role will be responsible for managing compliance and relationships of executed agreements between Ohio State and outside entities, equity received from licensing transactions and entrepreneurship activities ("Innovation Equity"). Under the direction and supervision of the Associate Director, Intellectual Property & Award, this role performs ongoing monitoring and engagement with the university’s portfolio companies external to the university and working closely with Ohio State faculty;

collaborates with other teams within ERIK, including technology licensing, compliance, Sponsored Project Officers, and finance; and onboards new team members, including training, mentoring, and providing guidance as needed.
