Goodwill Columbus Mission Services | Full-Time | Grant-Funded (1.5 years)
At Goodwill Columbus, our team supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) as they build skills, confidence, and meaningful connections in their community. This work is about respect, dignity, and helping people live more independent, fulfilling lives. Whether you're new to this field or have experience, this role offers purpose-driven work, strong support, and the chance to make a real difference every day.
About This Role
As a Coordinator, Technology Project & Training, you help bring technology to life for the people we support and the staff who support them.
You'll work with emerging and assistive technology-like tablets, communication devices, virtual reality, and AI tools-and help others use these tools in meaningful, practical ways.
This role is a mix of hands-on teaching, project coordination, and teamwork. You don't need to be an expert in everything-we're looking for someone who's curious, patient, organized, and excited to learn alongside others.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
- Help plan and coordinate technology projects that support adults with IDD
- Teach individuals and small groups how to use technology for learning, creativity, communication, and job readiness
- Adapt your teaching style to different learning needs and abilities
- Train and support staff so technology can be used confidently in daily programming
- Help set up, track, and troubleshoot devices like tablets, VR headsets, and communication tools
- Keep simple records and reports for grant and project tracking
- Work closely with program staff, IT partners, and community teammates
You might be a great fit if you:
- Enjoy helping people learn and feel more confident
- Are comfortable with technology-or excited to learn new tools
- Can stay organized and manage multiple projects at once
- Communicate clearly, kindly, and patiently
- Are dependable and enjoy working as part of a team
- 3+ years' experience with technology projects or experience supporting people with disabilities
- Comfort learning tools like tablets, apps, communication devices, or VR
- A background in human services, education, IT, or project coordination is helpful-but not required
- Full-time, hourly position
- Work takes place in program centers and community settings
- Some lifting, standing, and movement are part of the role
- Occasional local travel required
- This is a grant-funded position lasting 1.5 years. Continued employment depends on future funding.
You'll be supported by a mission-driven team that values learning, creativity, and inclusion. We believe technology should open doors-not create barriers-and you'll play a key role in making that happen.

Goodwill Columbus is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We welcome and encourage applicants of all backgrounds and abilities to apply.
