Senior QA

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, integration, test case writing, scripting, and execution of Rest API testing to ensure proper coverage.
• Ensure all team deliverables are planned, prioritized, tracked, and completed. Deliverables include test cases, test plans and user stories within the client's standards.
• Partners with scrum team to ensure system behavior is functioning as expected.
• Partners closely with QA lead for all the testing activities and defect management
• Actively participates in Agile SCRUM ceremonies.
• Participates in End-to-end testing that involves various other applications.
• May run database queries to supply data validation within test scripts.
• Works with BSAs and Development teams on defect analysis and triage
• Assigns defect severity, and manages defects throughout the project
• Identifies any potential quality issues per defined processes and escalates potential quality issues immediately to management.
• Ensures all aspects of testing, such as manual execution, regression, automation, and performance testing, are completed within the desired time.
• Maintains the regression test bed to meet changing requirements.
• Participates in off-hour production releases as needed
• Uses tools such as Postman, Thunderclient, Jmeter, GIT, Jenkins, SOAP UI, SQL Server

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5 years of testing experience
• Must have experience working in Rest APIs
• Strong technical knowledge with a good understanding of software development principles, QA Framework/Basic Test Methodology, and project life cycles (e.g., SDLC)
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to explain system issues clearly and concisely and establish effective working relationships.
• High motivated with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Required Skills : API Testing - SOAP and REST + interacting with 3rd party vendors and their APIs SQL - querying the database Automation experience - they are using Karate Labs, but manager open to any Automation experience (Java/Selenium/C#, etc.)
** SOFT SKILLS ARE HUGELY IMPORTANT - want someone who is vocal, will bring new ideas to the team, and collaborate within their team and among other scrum teams
