Aspen Careers is partnering with a full-service law firm to identify an experienced Help Desk Supervisor to lead end user support operations in the firm’s Columbus office. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on IT professional who enjoys mentoring others, improving processes, and delivering exceptional customer service in a professional services environment.
Job Title: Help Desk Supervisor
Location: Columbus, Ohio (in-office)
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of a busy IT help desk
- Supervise ticket flow to ensure timely, high-quality end user support
- Manage procedures for identifying, prioritizing, and resolving support requests
- Monitor, track, and coordinate help desk functions for optimal performance
- Handle escalated support calls and serve as Tier 2 support when needed
- Create, maintain, and manage knowledge base articles within the ticketing system
- Train and install MDM software on BYOD devices
- Coordinate video conferences with internal teams and clients
- Administer FTP sites, including creating new sites and updating existing ones
- Collaborate with Infrastructure and Practice Support teams
- Assist with onboarding and training of new help desk staff
- Participate in ongoing training related to core firm applications
- 4+ years of experience working directly with end users in a Help Desk or IT support role (legal environment preferred)
- Associate degree in Information Technology or related field
- Strong knowledge of:
- Help desk policies, standards, and protocols
- Ticketing systems
- Microsoft Office Suite and Windows OS
- Telecommunications hardware and services
- Remote desktop systems
- Mobile device management
- FTP site administration
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities
