Overview

The Cybersecurity Project Manager is responsible for guiding cross‑functional cybersecurity teams using Agile and waterfall methodologies to achieve cybersecurity objectives. In this role, you will lead project planning, stakeholder communication, and risk mitigation efforts while maintaining a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles. You will foster collaboration, facilitate, and align project goals with security requirements while delivering secure solutions on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
  • PMs are expected to manage full project life cycles using Agile, Waterfall, or Iterative methods.
  • Deliverables include Project Charters, Solution Design Documents (SDDs), Technical Documentation, Agile readiness checklists, UAT approvals, deployment plans, and change management artifacts such as stakeholder assessments and adoption strategies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and contribute to project management processes to facilitate statement of work development and vendor progress management.
  • Demonstrate a moderate understanding of core project management activities for risk, issue, decision management, dependency, status reporting, demand, budgeting, forecasting, variance explanations, and capacity management.
  • Experience managing financials, including capital vs. O&M spend forecasting, budgeting, and accruals.
  • Facilitate collaboration across multiple functions, departments, and levels and serve as a role model for teamwork.
  • Demonstrate moderate interpersonal skills, contribute to effective project presentations, and communicate technical concepts to non‑technical clients.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge in the use of project management and SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile) and tools (Service Now, Power

    BI, Jira).
  • While not required, it would be nice if the PM understands Archer tool and/or has experience in policy and standard management, compliance and risk assessments, issue and exception tracking.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience in project management and leadership across IT and business functions.
  • Experience managing large complex projects consisting of a combination of internal/external and labor/non‑labor cost components.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management best practices, including knowledge of waterfall, agile, and SDLC methodologies and tools.
  • Must have excellent leadership skills – proven ability to coach, develop, and lead a team and ability to work with a diverse project team consisting of resources from all parts of the organization (both IT & Business).
  • Proven ability to engage and develop relationships with executive sponsors and key stakeholders with clarity and precision.
  • Experience with project cost management and resource capacity planning.
  • Strong business process analysis and mapping skills.
  • Experience implementing change management approaches to support projects.
  • Experience in indirect management of team members including assisting in development, training, and assignment of work/projects to other members of a team.
  • Familiarity with the Energy Industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience that demonstrates experience with technical project management and project leadership.
  • 4 hours of PMM training prior to assuming role.
  • 20 hours of ongoing professional training per year.
  • Project management certification (PMP) preferred.
  • Agile certification such as PSM (Professional Scrum Master) or PSPO (Professional Scrum Product Owner) a plus.
  • ITIL v3 or v4 a plus.
  • Experience in policy and standard management, compliance and risk assessments, issue and exception tracking.
Benefits and Logistics

This role is hybrid. Tuesdays and Wednesdays in office until September 1, after which Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are required. Only local candidates and U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
