The Technology Portfolio Manager at Cover My Meds LLC is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the strategic alignment, delivery, and performance of a portfolio of technology initiatives, ensuring they contribute to the company's overall business objectives and drive innovation in healthcare.
Job Responsibilities- Portfolio Strategy & Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive technology portfolio roadmap, aligning with Cover My Meds ' strategic goals and business priorities. Facilitate the prioritization and selection of new technology initiatives, considering resource availability, risk, and potential impact.
- Program & Project Oversight: Provide high-level oversight and governance for all projects and programs within the assigned technology portfolio. Monitor progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to established methodologies and standards.
- Stakeholder Communication & Management: Act as a primary liaison between technology teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership. Communicate portfolio status, key decisions, risks, and benefits effectively to diverse audiences.
- Resource Management: Collaborate with functional managers to ensure appropriate resource allocation and capacity planning across portfolio initiatives. Identify and address resource constraints and conflicts.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the technology portfolio. Generate regular reports on portfolio health, progress, and value realization for executive review.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve portfolio management processes, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks and issues across the technology portfolio, developing mitigation strategies and escalation plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) or related experience, and typically requires 4+ years of experience in project management, program management, or portfolio management within a technology-focused environment.
- 3+ years of experience specifically managing a technology portfolio, preferably in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven experience working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and technology infrastructure concepts.
- Familiarity with portfolio management tools and software (e.g., Jira, Planview, Clarity PPM).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into actionable technology initiatives.
- PMP, PgMP, PfMP, or Agile certifications (e.g., SAFe, CSM).
