IT Consultant​/ITC

IDEALFORCE is hiring a IT Consultant 2 / ITC 2 for a CONTRACT position immediately in Columbus, OH
. The role is hybrid, with a requirement that all qualified candidates interview face‑to‑face. Only local candidates are considered.

This position supports the Bureau of Infectious Diseases and Office of Management Information Services at the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). You will define and develop quality standards, conduct reviews according to schedule, and ensure processes are followed while collaborating with business and functional lines.

• Assist Client Immunization Program and ODH IT in drafting an RFP per State of Ohio guidelines for a vendor for the state’s Immunization Information System.
• Provide feedback to project teams on process and procedure improvement opportunities.
• Advise teams as they gather and document requirements.
• Offer technical leadership on system architecture and platform migration.
• Advise on vendor‑management implications after contract award.
• Contribute to establishing and meeting quality goals and objectives.
• Contribute to all aspects of quality assurance, including metric development and tool creation.
• Review project work products to ensure compliance with approved procedures and standards.
• Perform detailed reviews of interim and final tasks as appropriate.
• Advise on evaluation process documents such as Service Level Agreements and Data Recovery Plans.
• Use technical understanding to assist the client in identifying growth and resource‑management opportunities.

6 years IT project consulting experience in Public Health Management Information Systems.

• 6 years required experience developing Business Requirements for IT systems.
• 6 years required experience in IT project leadership.
• 6 years required experience in vendor management.

4‑year college degree or equivalent technical study.

• IT project consulting experience in Public Health Management Information Systems – 6 years required.
