The Data Science role at Bread Financial provides top-tier business insights through advanced predictive models and data science techniques. The Senior Data Scientist is pivotal in generating insights and supporting the enterprise's data science needs, as well as enhancing the team's industry competence through research in Artificial Intelligence (AI). The Data Science team, through this role, supports Marketing by developing predictive and prescriptive models that optimize campaign performance, enable targeted and personalized marketing, and provide actionable insights for acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies.

They leverage advanced analytics, AI/ML tools, and secure data-sharing environments to enhance decision‑making and drive measurable business outcomes.

• Lead the design, build, deployment, and periodic maintenance of AI solutions. (30%)
• Build strong relationships with internal business partners to drive the delivery of enterprise solutions. (20%)
• Establish and execute the framework for engaging enterprise partners to plan new AI solutions. (20%)
• Assist with documentation, compliance, model governance, and maintenance of AI solutions. (15%)
• Research advanced modeling and AI techniques to improve predictive modeling and maintain business acumen in relevant industries. (15%)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, or other quantitative fields.
• 5+ years experience in building sophisticated models using machine learning, segmentation, time series, and other advanced analytics methodologies.

• Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, or other quantitative fields.
• 7+ years experience in model building with machine learning, segmentation, time series, and other advanced analytics methodologies in relevant industries.
