Senior Analyst, Product Research- PL Auto Delivery
At Liberty, our Personal Lines Auto Product team partners across the company to build and roll out auto insurance solutions that keep pace with what customers and agents need. Responsibilities- Fully own and execute on assigned states’ end‑to‑end rollout of the latest personal auto insurance pricing programs.
- Gather and document product requirements, clearly communicate requirements to stakeholders, and ensure accurate implementation.
- Act as subject matter expert for the pricing program and assigned states, provide thoughtful recommendations that influence state decisions and help drive corporate strategy.
- Lead cross‑functional work streams and manage moderate to high complexity projects.
- Conduct complex analyses to drive and support business decisions and conduct in‑depth research of competitor offerings and filings.
- Educate IT partners on business vision and plan, and both IT and business partners on the impact of changes.
- Independently manage project timelines, flag risks and develop contingency plans, and elevate blockers as appropriate.
- Regularly update leadership and stakeholders on project progress, addressing concerns and managing communication channels.
- Lead job shadow discussions with less experienced analysts, providing technical training and user support to business groups.
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field; minimum four years relevant work experience, typically six years.
- Master’s degree beneficial.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, Emblem).
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision‑making and communication skills.
- Experience managing projects preferred.
- Deep understanding of how we build and bring rating programs to market (e.g., data & mechanics).
- Exposure to many different parts of the organization (e.g., State Management, Technology, Data Science).
- Project and stakeholder management skills.
- Foundational knowledge of product & pricing to succeed in Product or other parts of USRM.
The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual may include a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
