Build the Path Forward

At Path Robotics, we’re building the future of embodied intelligence. Our AI-driven systems enable robots to adapt, learn, and perform in the real world closing the skilled labor gap and transforming industries. We go beyond traditional methods, combining perception, reasoning, and control to deliver field-ready AI that is risk‑aware, reliable, and continuously improving through real‑world use.

Big, hard problems are our everyday work, and our team of intelligent, humble, and driven people make the impossible possible together.

We are seeking a Network & Security Engineer, this role emphasizes understanding how security and networking tooling work at a systems level, rather than deep specialization in any single vendor.

The ideal candidate understands how data flows across networks, endpoints, cloud environments, and security tools and knows what good telemetry, alerting, and integrations should look like. You will help design, operate, and continuously improve networking and security controls across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid environments, while supporting NIST‑ and FedRAMP‑aligned security postures.

This role is well‑suited for someone who enjoys connecting concepts across networking, security, and automation, and who can reason about tradeoffs, signal quality, and long‑term maintainability.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, implement, and operate secure, reliable network infrastructure across on‑prem, cloud, and remote environments using Cisco Meraki, Arista, AWS networking, and modern overlay networks (e.g., Tailscale)
  • Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues spanning physical infrastructure, cloud services, and remote access
  • Deploy and support endpoint detection and vulnerability management tooling (e.g., Crowd Strike, Nessus) and operate security controls aligned with NIST and FedRAMP requirements
  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents; support audits, assessments, and evidence collection
  • Design and improve how network and security tools integrate and share data, with a strong understanding of EDR, SIEM, and logging pipelines, including data quality, enrichment, and signal‑to‑noise tradeoffs
  • Build lightweight automation and scripts (Python, Power Shell, or similar) to connect systems, enrich security data, and automate repetitive network and security operations
  • Partner with IT, Cloud, and Security teams on architecture decisions and incident response, while documenting designs, controls, integrations, and SOPs
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support and serve as an escalation point for complex network and security issues
Who You Are
  • 3–5 years of experience in network engineering, security engineering, or a hybrid network/security role
  • Hands‑on experience with modern network and security platforms, including:
    • Networking
      :
Cisco Meraki, Arista, AWS networking (VPCs, routing, security groups), Tailscale
    • Security
      :
Crowd Strike (EDR), Nessus (vulnerability management)
  • Strong understanding of core concepts, including:
    • Network fundamentals (routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls)
    • Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
    • Logging, alerting, and SIEM fundamentals
  • Experience supporting or operating within NIST and/or FedRAMP security frameworks
  • Working knowledge of scripting or automation using Python, Power Shell, or similar languages
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing, improving, or operating security telemetry and logging pipelines
  • Familiarity with SIEM platforms (vendor‑agnostic experience preferred)
  • Experience working in cloud‑native and/or hybrid environments
  • Exposure to threat detection, incident response, or security monitoring workflows
  • Comfort operating in environments with evolving, imperfect, or partially integrated tooling
Why You’ll Love Working Here
  • Daily free lunch to keep you fueled and connected with the team
  • Flexible PTO so you can take the time you need, when you need it
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 6 weeks fully paid parental leave, plus an additional 6–8 weeks for birthing parents (12–14 weeks total)
  • 401(k) retirement plan through Empower
  • Generous employee referral bonuses—help us grow our team!
