Role:Data Engineer
Location:
Columbus, OH / Jersey City, NJ Duration:
Long Term Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
- Work with structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources
- Assist in data warehousing and database optimization
- Write and optimize SQL queries for large datasets
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and backend teams
- Support data integration, validation, and quality checks
- Learn and apply big data and cloud data technologies
- Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting data workflows
- Strong understanding of SQL
- Basic knowledge of Python (or Scala/Java)
- Understanding of ETL concepts and data pipelines
- Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, Postgre
SQL, SQL Server, etc.) - Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts
- Exposure to tools like Airflow, Spark, Hadoop (academic or project level is fine)
- Familiarity with Git / Git Hub
- Strong problem-solving and learning mindset
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, or Databricks
- Knowledge of data modeling and performance tuning
