LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT SEEKING A DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN!

SUMMARY: Responsible for the configuration, installation, operation, preventative maintenance and repair of the district’s computing hardware and their applied software applications.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 2+ years of experience supporting desktop computers in a networked environment (Windows and/or Mac OS).
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Experience supporting A/V equipment in classrooms, meeting rooms, or event spaces.
  • Ability to provide both remote and on-site desktop support.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills in a professional setting.
  • Experience working both independently and collaboratively as part of a technical support team.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory and documentation of equipment and support activities.
  • Experience with setup, delivery, and installation of workstations, peripherals, and classroom technology.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques for classroom technology and instructional spaces.

DESIRED

SKILLS:

  • Experience with video-data projection, audio systems, and general A/V troubleshooting.
  • Experience delivering end-user training or identifying training needs related to technology usage.
  • Familiarity with IT service management tools and help desk ticketing systems.
  • Ability to lead or coordinate technical projects and act as an escalation point.
  • Experience communicating and reporting technology outages and incident tracking.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Prior experience in a higher education or academic support environment.
