This is a hybrid position. Will need to work 3 days a week in offices located in Columbus, OH.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll be joining our team of talented experts. The right candidate will possess the following experience:
Key Responsibilities- Lead technical team of data engineers and testers
- Provide coaching and mentoring to data engineers in the areas of technical skills and competencies
- Design complex data pipelines and patterns including Audit Controls and Error Handling utilizing industry and tool standards and best practices
- Code complex data pipelines
- Review data pipeline code for standards, best practices and efficiencies
- Collaborate with other leads and senior resources for design and coding efficiencies
- Complex Perl, Python and or Unix scripting
- 8+ years of experience with Talend, Informatica Power Center, Data Stage or other ETL platform on Data Warehousing or Data Integration projects (Talend preferred)
- Experience building and maintaining data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Fabric Data Pipelines, Spark (Notebooks, Job Definitions), and Python/PySpark. Strong hands‑on experience with key Fabric components (One Lake, Data Pipelines, Lakehouse, Warehouse, KQL).
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and lakes on the Databricks platform (Apache Spark, Delta Lake) for large‑scale data ingestion, transformation (ETL/ELT), and analysis
- Experience leading teams of technical developers and testers
- Proven ability to write high quality code
- Expertise implementing complex data pipeline logic
- Develop and enforce strong reconciliation process and documentation
- Strong SQL experience
- Good knowledge of relational databases, data vault, and dimensional model design
- Strong UNIX/LINUX shell scripting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
