As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering, you will provide technical coaching and guidance to multiple teams, anticipate dependencies across functions, and lead initiatives to advance financial technologies.

• Proven track record in supporting mortgage operations by enhancing workflow efficiency, ensuring compliance, and managing system integrations.
• Provide guidance to the immediate team of software engineers and system analysts on daily tasks and activities.
• Ensure optimal performance of Home Lending systems to improve productivity and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Design and maintain custom input forms, business rules, field triggers, loan programs, and personas to streamline lending workflows.
• Support system upgrades, testing, and change management, ensuring minimal disruption during releases.
• Set overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration.
• Provide direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers working on basic to moderately complex tasks.
• Be accountable for decisions affecting resources, budgets, tactical operations, and the execution of processes and procedures.
• Identify and mitigate issues to execute the book of work, escalating as necessary and ensuring collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
• Provide input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality.
• Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect for team members and prioritize diverse representation.

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience; 2+ years leading technologists to solve complex technical items within the domain.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience configuring, customizing, and maintaining the Encompass LOS platform to support retail, wholesale, and correspondent lending channels.
• Familiarity with API calls, Encompass plugins, OOP framework, and Git Hub.
• Experience with JavaScript in the context of Encompass Web.
• Experience in writing and maintaining REST/SOAP APIs.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, or configuration-as-code practices.
• Experience leading teams of technologists; ability to guide and coach teams toward strategic goals.
• Experience with talent hiring, development, and recognition.
• In-depth knowledge of the services industry and its IT systems.
• Practical cloud-native experience.

• Experience balancing hands-on work (approximately 30%) with managerial responsibilities (70%), with flexibility as activities change.
