Manual Tester - Onsite, OH

Overview

A Software Tester works closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure software applications meet the required standards of quality and functionality. This role involves analyzing business and technical requirements to design comprehensive test plans and test cases. The tester's primary responsibility is to validate that the application performs as expected and to identify, document, and track any defects or bugs, ensuring the final product is stable, reliable, and aligns with the needs of the end-user.

• Requirement Analysis and Test Planning - Analyze software requirements to understand the application's functionality, then create a comprehensive test plan to guide the testing process.
• Test Case Creation and Execution - Design and write detailed test cases to verify features and validate that the application behaves as expected.
• Defect Reporting and Tracking - Document and report defects clearly, then track the defect lifecycle until resolution.
• Regression Testing - Re-run a selected set of tests to ensure changes do not break existing functionality.
• Performance and Security Testing - Verify the application's performance under load and identify vulnerabilities affecting data or user security.
