HR Analyst Position Overview
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated HR Analyst to join our Human Resources team. This role plays an important part in supporting OOD’s mission to empower Ohioans with disabilities through employment, independence, and accessibility. By ensuring accurate payroll and benefits administration, you will help our employees focus on delivering impactful services to the individuals we serve.
ResponsibilitiesIn this position, you will manage a variety of human resources functions within the Employee Payroll & Benefits Support unit. Your responsibilities include tracking and processing leave programs such as workers’ compensation, caregiver, military, and adoption/childbirth leave. You will monitor and certify Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) claims, advise employees on related policies, and conduct audits to ensure compliance. Using tools like Cognos and Excel, you will analyze data, prepare reports, and communicate with employees and managers regarding personnel actions and verification notices.
Additionally, you will process payroll for the entire agency, research and resolve payroll issues, and maintain accurate records in systems such as OAKS, UKG Pro, and OnBase.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of human relations, government processes, and employment laws, including FMLA. Strong skills in Microsoft Office and general office equipment are essential. The candidate should be able to define problems, analyze data, and draw valid conclusions, as well as handle sensitive inquiries with professionalism. Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and effective communication are key.

Pay Information- At Hire: $55,994.00
- 6 months: $59,072.00
- 18 months: $62,254.00
- 30 months: $65,853.00
- 42 months: $69,368.00
Starting salary will be step 1, subject to law or union contract requirements. New hires advance to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. There are cost of living increases to these rates each year and additional longevity supplements begin after 5 years.
Work Location and TravelOur roles are primarily in‑office to encourage collaboration and connection. Some locations may have adjusted on‑site requirements based on space availability at this time. Reporting details will be provided by the supervisor before the start date. Employees must reside at a location that allows for reasonable response time to workplace reporting requirements. Daytime travel within Ohio may be required. The selected candidate must provide own transportation or, to operate a state vehicle, must have a valid driver’s license.

Minimum Qualifications- 2 years experience in human resources;
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration;
- Or 1 year experience as Human Capital Management Associate, 64611;
- Or equivalent education and/or experience per Minimum Class Qualifications noted above.
