The Human Resources Payroll Administrator supports our Employer of Record (EOR) division. The engine that powers workforce programs, internships, and growing teams across the country.
This is a full-time position responsible for managing both payrolled employee and client needs and challenges. You should be an energetic professional who does not mind wearing multiple hats. Must be experienced in handling a wide range of workforce and administrative related tasks and be able to work independently with little or no supervision. Must be extremely well organized, flexible, and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a team of diverse people.
Must work with a sense of urgency and responsiveness.
You’ll work across multiple client environments, supporting nonprofit and for-profit partners who rely on our company to manage people operations with precision and care.
What You’ll DoPayroll & Compliance- Process bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll across multiple client groups using payroll/HRIS platforms
- Review and process commissions, stipends, bonuses, and reimbursements
- Audit payroll and employee data to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Support multi-state payroll compliance and time-tracking administration
- Generate payroll, compliance, and audit reports for internal and client use
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently
- Support benefits reconciliation and 401(k) funding
- Document internal controls and contribute to continuous process improvement
- Leverage systems and automation to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scale
- Support onboarding and offboarding for EOR employees and workforce participants
- Administer benefits changes and employee records across systems
- Support ACA and compliance reporting
- Manage unemployment and worker’s compensation claims and employment verifications
- Respond to employee and client HR inquiries with professionalism and discretion
- Support client hiring processes, including background screenings and onboarding
- Assist with onboarding orientation and compliance education
- Partner with internal teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality employee experience
- 3–5 years of experience in HR, payroll, or workforce administration
- Currently lives in the Columbus Ohio Metro area
- Experience using payroll and HRIS platforms (ADP or other platforms)
- Working knowledge of payroll compliance; multi-state experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client environments
- Comfort working with systems, data, and process documentation
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
- Process-oriented mindset with interest in technology-enabled improvement
- Alignment with mission-driven, service-focused work
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace
