Law School Recruiting Manager
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Firm at a time of development, growth, and success. This role has an important part to play in helping the firm achieve its strategic law student talent acquisition and legal recruiting priorities.
Our OpportunityWe are seeking a talented Law School Recruiting Manager to lead our Firm's law school hiring efforts across all U.S. offices. In this role, you will shape our national recruiting strategy, strengthen relationships with law schools, and ensure that candidates experience a thoughtful and engaging process from first contact through the summer associate program. Working closely with the U.S. Hiring Chair, the Director of Legal Personnel, and local office teams, you will guide all aspects of 1L and 2L recruiting, oversee summer associate training and evaluations, and help maintain a consistent, high-quality program across the Firm.
MainDuties And Responsibilities
1L & 2L Law Student Recruiting and National Summer Program Management
- Design and execute a law student hiring strategy for the Firm's U.S. offices.
- Develop and cultivate relationships with law school career services offices.
- Lead the annual summer associate program, including collaborating with the Learning & Development team to develop effective training content, manage the summer associate work allocation program and summer associate evaluation process, and oversee summer associate events.
- Manage the recruiting process for 1L and 2L hiring, including managing résumé collection and review, candidate identification, interviews, offer decisions and status tracking.
- Directly manages all aspects of the Columbus office 1L and 2L hiring and the summer program for the Columbus office.
- Develop effective website content, job postings and social media content related to the Firm's law school recruitment activity. Support Firm initiatives on social media. Take the lead in sourcing, preparing, and distributing information by working in coordination with the Firm's social media teams.
Legal Recruiting
- As able, assist legal recruiting by conducting searches for associates, policy advisors, policy specialists, patent professionals and paralegals or researching profiles on behalf of the talent acquisition team.
- May assist in recruiting for lawyer and staff roles in the Columbus office.
- We require a bachelor's degree or equivalent, a minimum of three (3) years of law school recruiting experience demonstrating the skills required to manage a national program as well as prior legal recruiting experience. Experience in event management is required.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage all aspects of high-volume legal recruiting programs.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.
- Be a team player committed to superior standards of professionalism and productivity.

- Exercise discretion when handling confidential information.
- Be detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

- Be available and willing to travel, attend events and to work additional hours as needed.
- Have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
