As a Back of House Supervisor, you are actively involved in every aspect of back-of-house execution, from food staging and presentation to service and breakdown. You are responsible for coaching and supporting your team while stepping into any role as needed. You often function as the primary on-site lead for food presentation and quality, ensuring that plating, displays, timing, and food standards are executed to meet our high expectations and client specifications.
Successful Back of House Supervisors are confident decision-makers who stay calm under pressure, manage multiple moving parts with attention to detail, and hold the team accountable through thoughtful coaching. Above all, you model professionalism, strong work ethic, and positive energy while ensuring food quality, presentation excellence, and efficient BOH operations.
This is apart time variable position with evening and weekend requirements

The Primary job of the Back of House Supervisor includes but is not limited to:
- Read event paperwork and mentally prepare in advance of event
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and coach your BOH team to ensure everyone understands food staging, presentation standards, timelines, and responsibilities
- Oversee back-of-house operations during events, guiding team members, monitoring food quality and presentation, resolving issues, and ensuring execution aligns with event specifications
- Manage all off-site BOH logistics, including setup, organizing, and breakdown of equipment, supplies, and food staging areas
- Ensure client and guest timelines are followed and all contracted food services are delivered
- Assign BOH responsibilities clearly and hold team members accountable to presentation, timing, and checklist standards
- Take full ownership of the guest and client experience related to food quality and presentation
- Collaborate with FOH and Bar leadership to support overall event execution
- Submit detailed post-event reports and professional feedback within 24 hours
- Attend quarterly supervisor meetings and required trainings for ongoing development
Required
- Customer service, banquet, or catering experience
- Back-of-house, culinary, or food service experience
- Valid driver’s license and comfortable driving large vans
- Ability to lift, load, and move up to 50 lbs regularly
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands for up to 8 hours
- Reliable transportation
- Meet the 3-shift per month minimum and be available for at least two weekends per month, with additional shifts expected during peak seasons
- Pass background check
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Knowledge of food handling, presentation standards, and safe food practices
Preferred
- Flexible schedule and evening/weekend availability
- Supervisory or team leadership experience in kitchen or catering environments
- Experience driving large trucks or vans
- Experience with food presentation, platter displays, or large-scale events
- Serv Safe certification
