Front Desk Agent – Second Shift
Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel sits in the heart of Columbus, offering easy access to landmarks such as the Ohio Theatre, German Village, and the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The hotel blends eclectic, modern design with upscale amenities, including a rooftop pool, Club Lounge, and locally inspired dining at Latitude 41 and Bar 41.
Compensation$16.50 per hour

As a Front Desk Agent, you will greet and register guests and handle their check‑outs to support outstanding guest service and profitability. You will complete the registration process, input and retrieve information from the computer, confirm guest information and room rates, select rooms, code electronic keys, assist guests with check‑out, use the point‑of‑sale system, handle money, process credit and debit cards, accept and record various forms of payment, convert foreign currency, make change, and process gift certificates and cards.
You will demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information—including room categories, rates, packages, promotions, local area, and general product knowledge—to answer guest questions and inquiries. You will use up‑selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and maximize room occupancy. You will respond to guest inquiries and requests, resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner, field guest complaints, conduct research, and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction.
You have prior experience as a Front Desk Agent in a hotel or a high‑volume customer‑facing industry. You are passionate about providing excellent customer service and thrive to always ensure guest satisfaction and enhance their experience. You are comfortable working early evenings and weekends. You have excellent computer skills and a team spirit. Marriott brand experience is a plus.
