Job Objective: To collect linen and trash from housekeeper carts, hallways and freight landings. Assist in maintaining cleanliness of public areas. Follow the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Key Areas of Responsibility: Guestrooms and Public areas.

Specific Duties:

• Obtain a room status report from the housekeeping supervisor to begin stripping the rooms that have checked out;
• Begin removing linens and trash from checked out rooms before housekeeper enters the room to clean it;
• Empty housekeeper's carts of all soiled linen and trash;
• Clean and remove spots/marks from walls and doors on each floor;
• Vacuum, sweep and mop hallways, stairways, vending areas and foyers;
• Stock linen carts with amenities and supplies for room attendants- may include taking supplies directly to room;
• Make sure all closets and linen chutes are locked at all times;
• Put away any housekeeping amenity and supply orders that have arrived;
• Vacuum and mop stairwells, be sure to check them for trash several times during your shift.
• Other Duties and Responsibilities as may be designated

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Most tasks are performed in a team environment. There is minimal direct supervision. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

Education/Experience: High school. Prior hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
