Open-Rank Faculty Position in Neuromodulation for Psychiatry
Department:
Medicine | Psychiatry. The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health seeks faculty to expand our neuromodulation and interventional psychiatry research. The ideal candidates are clinician-researchers focused on evidence-based neuromodulation treatments for psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders and addictions. Positions may involve neuromodulation techniques and related research on mechanisms, clinical outcomes, treatment satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness.
Faculty join a multidisciplinary team within the Mood and Anxiety Program and/or the Addiction Program and contribute to training, research, and scholarly activities.
Responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines of the tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus. Duties include research, service, teaching, and/or clinical practice as applicable. Faculty will participate in training, research, and other scholarly pursuits within the department.
Qualifications- Advanced degree (M.D., Ph.D.) with specialization in Psychiatry or Clinical Psychology from an accredited program, or other terminal degree with alignment to licensure and clinical practice in Ohio.
- Clinical degrees must be licensed in Ohio by the time of appointment; in some cases, individuals with substantial research programs and funding and without clinical training may be considered if they demonstrate commitment to training clinical professionals and supporting clinical care.
- Strong record of external research funding and experience developing, leading, or substantially contributing to clinical, education, and research programs in interventional psychiatry.
- Experience with interventional psychiatry and/or neuromodulation research is preferred. Ability to work with patients in the relevant areas and to train residents, medical students, postdocs, and interns is desirable.
- Eligible for licensure in Ohio or provide evidence of eligibility by appointment.
