Scope of PositionThe Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) Harding Hospital provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare services for adults, including inpatient, outpatient, IOP, partial hospitalization, and emergency care. The Associate Director delivers strategic leadership to enhance patient-centered care, drive innovation, and maintain quality across all services. Collaboration with the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health and Talbot Hall supports an acute patient population and training of multidisciplinary professionals.
PositionSummary
This role supports the Director in managing program operations, supervising clinical and administrative staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, quality, and safety. The Associate Director contributes to strategic planning, program development, and quality improvement initiatives while upholding high standards of care for individuals and families affected by behavioral health disorders.
Minimum QualificationsFor Hire:
Master’s Degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling, with an independent Ohio license to practice (LISW‑S or LPCC‑S). Requires documented supervisory experience and at least seven years of work with patients with mental illness and/or substance use disorders. Preferred experience in at least one evidence‑based psychotherapy modality (e.g., cognitive‑behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy). Prior leadership and supervisory experience is required.
Final candidates will undergo a background check; a drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
