- Location: Columbus, Ohio (ZIP 43210) – Ohio nursing jobs
- Healthcare Setting: Comprehensive Cancer Center, Inpatient Nursing Float Pool – PCU
- Contract Length: 13-16 weeks (travel nursing contract)
- Start Date: December 1, 2025
- End Date: March 23, 2026
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940 - $1990
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Self-Scheduling: Submit your preferred schedule requests
- Minimum 2 years of recent high acuity PCU or higher-level nursing experience required
- Oncology nursing experience preferred
- Active RN license (compact or Ohio state RN license required at submission)
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association preferred) - Proficient with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system
- Ability to float to all Med Surg and PCU Oncology units
- Two professional references required (one must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role)
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology patients in a comprehensive cancer center
- Float between Med Surg and PCU Oncology units, including Bone Marrow Transplant, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, Urology, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, and Corrections Healthcare
- Implement infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention strategies
- Administer blood products, chemotherapy, cardiac drips; manage central lines, arterial lines, and specialized equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: IV, Physical Therapy, Respiratory, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
- Document patient care accurately using Epic charting system
- Participate in bedside orientation and transition to independent practice after initial training
