Overview
- Coordinates and oversees regional Long-Term Care Ombudsman quality program operations
- Develops, implements, and monitors quality standards, policies, and improvement plans for regional Ombudsman programs
- Provides technical assistance and guidance to regional ombudsmen and program directors on Ombudsman core services
- Monitors quality review processes, key performance indicators, and compliance with state and federal standards
- Supports the Designation Services Review (DSR) process and collaborates with state staff to identify improvement strategies
- Conducts comprehensive quality analyses of Ombudsman core practices, including complaint handling, advocacy, facility presence, and volunteer management
- Develops tools, dashboards, and reports to evaluate program performance, effectiveness, and impact
- Analyzes Ombudsman data to inform policy development, quality improvement, and strategic planning efforts
- Assists with data quality initiatives and improvements to Ombudsman data systems
- Develops and delivers training on Ombudsman core services, quality practices, and professional standards
- Prepares reports and recommendations for management and communicates findings to internal and external stakeholders
- Participates in special projects, meetings, and cross-team initiatives as assigned
- Provides high-quality customer service and supports the mission of the Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman
- Completion of undergraduate core program in social or behavioral science or pre-medicine; 24 mos. exp. in delivery of human services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider; 6 mos. exp. in management; 12 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques.
- Or completion of graduate core program in social or behavioral science or medicine-related field; 18 mos. exp. in delivery of human services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider; 6 mos. exp. in management; 12 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
