Overview

Position:
Patient Accounting Supervisor

Department:
Health System Shared Services | Patient Accounting

Position located at Ackerman Road Administrative Offices.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee Patient Financial Services Specialist staff, whose duties consist of either accounts receivable billing/recovery from third party payment sources or patient customer service call center operations.
  • Manage department workflow, monitor the amount and quality of work being performed, and distribute work accordingly.
  • Prioritize and schedule daily work; provide leadership in department operations.
  • Ensure team members receive appropriate training, communicate procedural and regulatory changes, perform financial analysis of accounts to ensure goals and priorities are met, support management as required, and document employee performance and progress.
  • Address and resolve escalated issues with third parties and patients in a timely and customer-focused manner.
Qualifications
  • Minimum

    Education Required:

    2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Required Qualifications:

    Associate Degree or 3 to 5 years experience in a hospital customer service environment or related experience.
