$15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS and BENEFITS ELIGIBILITY ON DAY ONE. External applicants and newly licensed internal applicants may be eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a one-year work commitment. Previously employed applicants who have been gone from the organization more than 90 days may also be eligible.
The Peripheral Vascular Technologist performs non-invasive diagnostic procedures in the Vascular Lab to detect, localize and quantify atherosclerosis, vasospasm, venous obstruction and other peripheral vascular diseases in the upper and lower extremities, neck, abdomen and thorax other than the heart; analyzes test data; generates preliminary interpretation report; discusses test needs and interpretation with physician; responsible for all aspects of training non-registered technologists and vascular ultrasound students in non-invasive testing techniques and interpretation;
organizes and present in-services relating to vascular ultrasound and non-invasive testing to nursing, medical staff, and other hospital associates; provides for outstanding service to customers both external and internal, acts as an ambassador and advocate for the Vascular Lab to external and internal contacts.
This full-time position at Riverside Methodist Hospital is for evening shift with the following hours:
Monday-Thursday 1:00-9:30p and Friday 2:30-11:00p. There is also a weekend and holiday call rotation requirement.
Ankle/Brachial Indices;
Segmental Doppler Pressures of the upper or lower extremities with or without provocative maneuvers; arterial duplex and venous duplex examinations with/without provocative maneuvers; venous waveform analysis for venous insufficiency or reflux; dialysis access imaging; pre-surgical planning imaging; renal vasculature imaging; mesenteric arteries imaging; aorta/IVC imaging; vascular access guidance for interventional/surgical procedures.
