Position SummaryFunctions as a Coordinator of Faculty Affairs who will coordinate and implement administrative and operational activities of the faculty affairs office for the Department of Pathology; plans, coordinates and facilitates faculty affairs for 100+ regular track faculty and 3 associated track faculty; serves as primary contact for departmental AP&T (Appointment, Promotion and Tenure) process; creates and manages a centralized office dedicated to the faculty A,P&T processes and requirements;
assists Vice Chair for Academic Affairs, AP&T committee chair, in developing and executing department’s strategic plan initiatives for faculty development and promotion and tenure efforts; develops and maintains AP&T tracking system; facilitates faculty development process and mentorship program; coordinates and oversees cyclical faculty affairs processes; reviews and monitors faculty review dates to maintain awareness of mandatory review dates; facilitates P&T discussions and voting at faculty meetings;
serves as departmental contact for College of Medicine’s Office of Academic Affairs (OAA); manages and maintains administrative calendars; assists in facilitating all aspects of prompt high-level patient care; processes local, national and international travel requests and reimbursements; processes requisitions for purchases, payments and reimbursements; assists and supports Department Administrator with administrative operations including human resources, procurement and fiscal activities.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
