About the Role
The Regional Pharmacist Trainer is a key member of the Training Department, reporting to the Head of Training. This role blends mentorship and leadership with hands-on pharmacist development, ensuring pharmacists across the region are well-prepared, confident, and aligned with company standards. You will partner with training staff, compliance, and department heads to design programs, guide development, and provide on-site support. This role is also central to onboarding new facilities, standardizing best practices, and reinforcing our culture of accountability and patient-first care.
- Mentorship & Development:
Lead onboarding and ongoing training for pharmacists across the region. Serve as a mentor and coach, strengthening pharmacists' confidence and skills. Design practical training tools and workshops that reinforce consistency and excellence. - Culture & Engagement:
Foster a collaborative, patient-centered culture across all sites and shifts. Support pharmacists in building leadership readiness and professional growth. Encourage teamwork and accountability in a fast-paced environment. Partner with department heads to align training programs with operational needs. Ensure training materials reflect the latest industry standards and company policies. Coordinate training during new facility onboarding, process rollouts, or expansions. - Technology & Workflow Standardization:
Train pharmacists on Framework
LTC, Framework
ECM, and Docu Track systems. Standardize workflows across sites to improve accuracy and efficiency. Support adoption of new technologies and process improvements. - Continuous Improvement:
Collaborate with leadership to measure the impact of training (e.g., smoother onboarding, improved compliance scores, fewer workflow errors). Identify retraining opportunities and recommend enhancements to training programs. Maintain records of all training and in-services in line with company requirements.
- Active Ohio Pharmacist license required.
- 4+ years of pharmacist experience in Long-Term Care pharmacy.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable speaking to groups.
- Proficiency with Framework
LTC, Framework
ECM, Docu Track, and MS Office. - Ability and willingness to travel regionally 40-60% (preferred).
- Experience in training, preceptorship, or departmental education.
- Strategic thinking skills to design and execute training programs aligned with company goals.
- Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP) or completion of LTC-focused CE programs.
