- Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) – Ohio nursing jobs
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Setting: Critical Care Float Pool (Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, and additional units)
- Start Date: March 9, 2026
- End Date: June 8, 2026
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shifts: 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Days: 07:00–19:30, Nights: 19:30–07:30), primarily PM with potential AM rotation in 4-week blocks
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
- Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (required for critical care nursing jobs) - Proficient with EPIC electronic charting system
- Skills:
IV start, telemetry, ventilator management, arterial line management - Ability to float between ICU units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Float between multiple intensive care units (Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, and others) based on staffing needs and patient acuity
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients with complex and critical conditions
- Perform advanced ICU nursing procedures, including ventilator management, telemetry, IV starts, and arterial line management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services)
- Maintain strict infection prevention and isolation protocols
- Accurately document patient care using EPIC
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training to ensure compliance and excellence in critical care
