Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12 hours.

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care by delivering intensive respiratory care and patient transport as medically prescribed, within the scope of their professional license and with minimal supervision. They evaluate patients and recommend treatment plans, explaining procedures and equipment to patients while providing necessary education upon discharge.

• Conduct physician-prescribed treatments and operate various ventilatory equipment, both invasive and non-invasive.
• Administer oxygen and aerosol therapies, nebulizations, and medication delivery.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning by various methods.
• Conduct oximetry, capnography monitoring, and pulmonary function studies.
• Assist with respiratory-related procedures, including bronchoscopy and chest tube placements.
• Maintain and monitor mechanical ventilation on various types of equipment.
• Record all pertinent information regarding treatments and patient responses.
• Communicate efficiently with the attending and pulmonary physicians regarding therapy efficacy.
• Follow all laboratory testing policies including specimen handling and quality controls.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation following BLS and ACLS guidelines.

• Must have ICU experience.
• Current respiratory therapy license in the appropriate state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
