Overview
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking an experienced, team focused health system administrator to supervise the Home and Community Based Service (HCBS) Waiver Provider Oversight unit in the Bureau of Network Management. As the HCBS Waiver Provider Oversight Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities- Supervise and direct the work activities (e.g., Notice of Operational Deficiencies, Plan of Corrections, Proposed Adjudication Orders, quality reviews, etc.) of the Provider Oversight staff
- Manage staff timekeeping and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with the ODM Provider Oversight Contractor on waiver provider oversight activities
- Attend meetings and provide input as the waiver provider oversight subject matter expert
- Research and evaluate waiver provider oversight policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
- Respond to complex waiver provider oversight inquiries from providers, members, internal teams, and sister state agencies
The preferred candidate will have a growth mindset and possess effective communication skills and conflict resolution abilities.
Completion of graduate core program in business, management or public administration, public health, health administration, social or behavioral science or public finance; 12 months exp. in the delivery of a health services program or health services project management (e.g., health care data analysis, health services contract management, health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development, HMO & hospital rate development, health services eligibility, health services data base analysis).
- Or 12 months experience as Medicaid Health Systems Specialist, 65293, may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated licensure, if required.

education and experience are commensurate with the approved position description on file. - If position oversees assessment or reassessment of clinical appropriateness of services and/or payment policies and/or related issues in regards to Medicaid health services delivery, incumbent must also have current and valid license as registered nurse as issued by Ohio Board of Nursing, pursuant to Sections of Ohio Revised Code.
