Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Columbus, Ohio.

Required Qualifications
  • One year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
  • Valid ARRT, or RCIS/RCES certification in compliance with state regulations
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA/ARC)
  • Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance with state regulations
  • PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification
  • Other relevant certifications or licenses may be required
Essential Work Functions
  • Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Operate imaging equipment—fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound—to guide procedures.
  • Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details.
  • Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure readiness.
  • Manage and restock procedural supplies including catheters, guide wires, and contrast agents.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members for seamless patient care.
  • Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols.
  • Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations.
  • Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Required Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to read written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency with PC skills.
  • Physical abilities: stationary position, movement of equipment (50‑100 lbs), pushing, pulling, bending.
  • Interpersonal skills: work effectively with diverse personnel, positive attitude, professionalism.
  • Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, assistance during procedures, equipment handling.
  • Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, occasional close supervision, irregular schedules, continuous concentration to detail.
  • Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
