Clinical Research Assistant II## Department:
Medicine | Psychiatry To provide assistance in support of clinical research studies; assist with implementation and coordination of studies; participate in recruitment of study participants; perform behavioral or diagnostic testing; assist with collection maintenance & reporting of clinical research data.
Minimum
Education Required:
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in biological sciences, health sciences, or medical field. 0 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in biological sciences, health sciences, or medical field, or equivalent combination of education experience; experience in research capacity desired; knowledge or experience in a specialty may be desired; experience in phlebotomy may be desired; experience performing basic laboratory procedures to process biological specimens may be desired; computer skill required with knowledge of database software applications desired. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
A drug screen or physical may be required during the post-offer process.## Additional Information:65-70% Assists with development and implementation of plans to recruit and retain study participants; assists with interviewing, recruitment and enrollment of human subjects for participation in clinical protocol; distributes and explains processes and goals of clinical studies to participants; assists with development of clinical study informational and educational materials;
assists with informed consent process; may conduct screening, baseline and annual assessments according to standardized procedures; obtains medical histories from participants; assists with collection, entering and maintaining clinical research data into study database
This position entails travel, constituting approximately 25-30% of the position's responsibilities. The incumbent will be required to embark on trips involving possible overnight stays, to various cities across the state of Ohio. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as the nature of the position will require occasional evenings and weekend work.##
