Are you passionate about making a difference in people’s lives? Summit Home Care & Hospice is excited to expand our services with a new caregiving division—and we’re looking for compassionate, dependable Home Health Aides (HHA) to grow with us! As a Home Health Aide, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients with daily living activities and personal care needs. You’ll work under the supervision of a Care Coordinator Supervisor and be a trusted presence in the lives of those you serve.
Home Health Aide (HHA):
- Job Type: PRN/As Needed
- Location:
Columbus, Ohio (Franklin County & Surrounding Counties) - Pay Rate: $16.00 per Hour
- Travel:
Required for In-Home Visits
- Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Helping with oral hygiene and hair care.
- Supporting mobility and exercise routines.
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when needed.
- Light housekeeping, including changing bed linens, laundry, and tidying living spaces.
- Providing medication reminders.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs (with proper training).
- Observing and reporting changes in patient condition.
- Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
- Following care plans and documentation procedures.
- Being a kind, respectful, and reliable presence in the home.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have an HHA Certification OR 2 years of prior home care experience under the supervision of an RN within the last 3 years.
- Must have current CPR and First-Aid certifications.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation.
- Meet training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws for home health aides.
- Able to read, follow care plans, and document services provided.
- Self-directed, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful toward individuals with varying needs.
- Maintains good hygiene and a professional appearance.
- Physically able to stand, walk, lift, bend, and assist with patient mobility.
- Adequate vision and hearing to safely perform care tasks.
