Job OverviewThis is a full‑time position, with float responsibilities through 5 central Ohio locations.
Responsibilities and Duties- Direct Patient Care (90 IRead 100%)
- Evaluate patient communication, cognitive, functional status, and/or swallowing after provider referral, then develop and implement a plan of care based on evaluation findings and appropriate treatment techniques. Initiate patient treatment.
- Carry out plan of care with reassessment and changes as appropriate.
- Perform and interpret instrumental exams and hearing screens as needed.
- Maintain/meet the productivity expectations of the department.
- Discharge Planning and água Coordination
- Instruct patient and caregiver/family.
- Recommend diets/instrumentals required for discharge.
- Provide information to physicians, nurses, case managers, social workers, and other team members.
- Involved in multidisciplinary patient plan of care and discharge readiness plan.
- Document evaluation, plan of care, progress toward goals, discharge plan/continuity of care for multidisciplinary team, and other involved medical and insurance parties.
- Indirect Patient Care (1–10%)
- Department Functions
- Supervise patient assignments and duties of the rehabilitation tech, as applicable.
- Participate in department quality improvement through data collection and team meetings.
- Assume duties delegated by management in the absence of department management.

- Serve as clinical instructor for affiliating SLP students and/or CFY placements.
- Advocate for the discipline on the multidisciplinary team.
- Other Duties – Perform any additional duties as requested by management.
• Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology.
• Licensure in the State of Ohio.
- Basic computer skills.
- Specialized knowledge in the areas of cognition, aphasia, dysphagia, video‑fluoroscopic and endoscopic swallowing experience.
- Day shift.
- Scheduled weekly hours: 32 hours.
