Job Description Summary

$15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS, RELOCATION ASSISTANCE & BENEFITS ELIGIBILITY FROM DAY ONE
External and newly licensed internal applicants may be eligible. Additionally, previously employed applicants who have been gone more than 90 days may qualify. Candidates living more than 100 miles from Riverside Methodist Hospital may be eligible for relocation assistance.

Riverside Methodist Hospital is hiring a full‑time MRI Technologist for the evening shift (four 10‑hour shifts). This position is eligible for shift and weekend differential and has a minimal call requirement for night shift coverage.

The position prepares patients for testing, screens and questions patients, assists the radiologist during testing, operates MRI equipment for a variety of procedures, maintains supply inventory in assigned rooms, and covers call duty as assigned.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Operate MRI equipment, including the magnet, injectors, independent consoles, physiological patient monitors, and cardiac gating/monitoring equipment.
  • Use equipment to properly adjust pulse sequences according to body part and diagnosis.
  • Demonstrate correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
  • Perform daily safety and quality control checks for the system.
  • Send images to PACS for interpretation.
  • Transfer images to independent console for further manipulation.
  • Reformat and perform post‑processing of images for radiologist interpretation.
  • Administer MRI contrast agents.
Minimum Qualifications
  • ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • BLS – Basic Life Support, American Heart Association.
  • NMTCB – Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
  • Field of Study:
    Radiography.
