- May prepare oral, topical, and intravenous medications for dispensing to patients.
- May make scheduled deliveries to appointed nursing units to deliver medications to patients.
- May assist pharmacists with medication order entry into the pharmacy computer system.

- Assists with and/or leads productivity management, training, mentoring of new staff, special projects, and committee meetings.
- Complies with all hospital and department rules, regulations and requirements.
In addition to performing all duties of a Pharmacy Technician III, this position coordinates daily workflow, organizes daily assignments, and provides overall support to the operation of the department. The Technician IV provides quality assessment and audit activities for the Pharmacy area. This position functions to assist the licensed pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical services to patients, as well as providing necessary services and information to nursing and medical staff.
Responsibilities include leading the preparation and packaging of medications; distribution of medications, supplies, and equipment; maintaining proper inventory levels; and keeping appropriate records and documentation. The Technician IV may cover additional Manager responsibilities as necessary or in the Manager’s absence.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician.
- 4 years of relevant experience required. 6 or more years of relevant experience preferred.
