OSU Harding Hospital/East Hospital‑Talbot Hall provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare services for adults, older adults, and adolescents in Central Ohio. The Behavioral Health Clinician serves as a critical part of our clinical team, functioning within the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team to provide psychotherapy and interventions across levels of care.

• Coordinate the clinical activities of inpatient clinical team members to achieve the most effective, efficient, and evidence‑based service delivery to patients & families.
• Monitor and assess practice patterns to ensure a high level of clinical expertise and positive outcomes for patients and families. Reports outcomes to management.
• Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation for patients with substance use disorder and mental health complaints.
• Provide counseling/psychotherapy to individuals with mental & behavioral disorders to facilitate return to previous or improved functioning. Services provided include individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, and/or couple/family therapy.
• Formulate individualized treatment plans to assist patients in determining and meeting treatment goals.
• Other duties include advocating within the local community if needed; working as part of the clinical team; maintaining third‑party payer relationships; and completing all necessary paperwork (e.g., disability, FMLA).

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field.
• Independent Ohio license to practice (e.g., LISW, LPCC, LICDC) with Supervisory Designation.
• Minimum five years of experience working with patients with mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
• Experience and/or training in at least one evidence‑based psychotherapy modality (e.g., cognitive‑behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy) is preferred.
• Prior leadership and supervisory experience is preferred.

• Maintain licensure(s), credentials, and Buckeye Learn modules.
• Practice within the parameters of the Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board.
• Training in at least one evidence‑based psychotherapy modality (e.g., cognitive‑behavioral, interpersonal psychotherapy) will be required.
• Leadership & supervisory training may be required.
