Manager, Population Health and Quality Improvement Analytics
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Manager, Population Health and Quality Improvement Analytics to lead and conduct advanced research projects in population health and quality improvement, and provide analytics support to a portfolio of studies and grants.
Responsibilities- Lead highly complex research tasks or projects as a co‑PI or PI, as needed.
- Independently determine the method(s) for completion of new projects.
- Develop new practices, processes, metrics or models, and provide solutions which may set precedent for the organization.
- Apply subject‑matter and methodological knowledge and advanced understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects.
- Provide guidance to research project and project sponsor colleagues.
- Convey difficult, complex or sensitive information, and facilitate productive dialogue among project stakeholders.
- Mentor colleagues in their role as manager, PI, and expert.
- Identify and secure funding for new research projects.
- Engage in project development and administration, including working with project funders and stakeholders to understand needs, designing rigorous survey and mixed methods research projects, executing any needed contracting, and setting up project governance structures.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.
Required QualificationsA minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree in a related field of study is required. Requires successful completion of a background check.
Additional Desired QualificationsExperience leading teams in qualitative, survey, or mixed methods research and demonstrated research independence such as peer‑reviewed publications or leadership on funded research projects. Experience working with health‑related state agencies is preferred. Advanced expertise with statistical programming, survey instrumentation, or qualitative study design and analysis is preferred.
