Job Location: COLUMBUS, OH 43223
Salary Range: $18.00 - $19.00 Hourly
The Person al Care Assistant is responsible for performing personal care and homemaker services based on a nurse’s assessment of the client’s needs. This position is also responsible for providing respite and private duty care.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting clients with personal hygiene according to the client care plan.
- Taking and recording vital signs with accuracy.
- Responding appropriately in an emergency and promptly reporting any unusual occurrences or incidents.
Required
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education: 60-hour training or state‑tested nursing license.
Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of in‑home care experience, either in private duty or in a facility.
RequiredSkills and Abilities
- Proficiency in assisting clients with personal hygiene according to the client care plan.
- Ability to take and record vital signs with accuracy.
- Competence in responding appropriately in emergency situations.
- Capability to promptly report any unusual occurrences or incidents.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and healthcare team members.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor suitable for providing personal care and support.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently within the scope of the care plan.
