Position: Medical Receptionist - Patient Service Specialist

Location: 5050 Palmetto St. Columbus, OH 43228

Type of Employment: Part Time

Schedule: Weekdays, hours vary (2 evenings per week till 7 pm)

Compensation: $16.00-$19.00/hour

When patients enter our outpatient physical therapy center in Columbus, we want them to have an exceptional experience – starting at the front desk. As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and the business side of our center. Don’t underestimate the impact you can make on every patient’s care experience, even before they leave the waiting room.

• Greet and register patients; provide information about the visit and next appointment during check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Communicate regularly with attorneys, insurance companies, translation services, operational leaders and the business development team.
• Collect co‑pays from patients, manage payer approvals, conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of outpatient experience.
