Job Description Summary- Cath Lab – Assist the interventional cardiologist with diagnostic and interventional procedures (scrubbing, monitoring, circulating). Knowledge of X‑ray equipment, hemodynamic monitoring, coronary and peripheral anatomy, and sterile technique required.
- Arrhythmia (EP) – Assist the electrophysiologist with non‑invasive and invasive procedures. Knowledge of X‑ray equipment, arrhythmia monitoring, cardiac structures, anatomy of the heart chambers, and sterile technique required.
- Vascular Interventional (VIR) – Assist the interventional radiologist with minimally invasive, image‑guided vascular procedures (scrubbing, monitoring, circulating). Knowledge of X‑ray equipment, vascular anatomy, and sterile technique required.
- 85% – Perform technical duties as assistant to the interventionalist in the area described above.
- 10% – Greet patients, verify informed consent, report absences or abnormalities, explain procedures, provide instructions, answer questions, participate in room turnover and patient transport.
- 5% – Assist the Radiation Safety Officer with QA of labs and radiation protective apparel, check lead aprons for tears, report findings, maintain accurate records or collaborate with Radiology department to maintain records.
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Heart Association)
- ARRT – Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- BLS – Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
- LIC – Licensed in State of Ohio
Job Description
External applicants may be eligible for a $15,000 sign‑on bonus with a one‑year work commitment. Previously employed applicants who have been gone from the organization more than 90 days may also be eligible.
Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday (four 10‑hour shifts per week). On‑call coverage mandatory with a required response time of 30 minutes.
Work Shift and ScheduleDay shift – 40 hours per week – Heart & Vascular – Interventional Lab.
