Overview
This position is eligible to receive a $7,500 Sign-On Bonus. 32 hours per week, FT benefits eligible. Four 8 hour days/week (7:45a-4:15p) or 5 days per week (7:45a-2p). Monday - Friday. No evenings, weekends or holidays.
Job Description SummaryPerforms ultrasound examinations to obtain diagnostic images of the fetus and maternal reproductive system.
Essential Functions- Prepares patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
- Operates ultrasound equipment to capture images of the fetus and surrounding structures.
- Analyzes images to identify any abnormalities or potential health concerns.
- Communicates findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintains accurate records of ultrasound procedures and patient information.
- Thoroughly understands the operation of the ultrasound machine, utilizes new technologies, and ensures equipment is properly maintained.
- Degree in applied science with a focus in diagnostic medical sonography, required.
- Graduate from an accredited medical ultrasound school, preferred.
- Actively registered in OBGYN by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS-OBGYN), required.
- Actively registered in Pediatric Echocardiography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) within two years of hire date, required.
CPR certification, required.
Skills- Cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record appropriate anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images.
- Extensive knowledge of normal and abnormal obstetric and fetal imaging.
- 2 years progressively responsible experience in OB high risk, or MFM setting, required.
- One year progressively responsible experience performing fetal echocardiography, or willingness to acquire FE registry within 2 years, preferred.
