Mount Carmel Health System invites qualified candidates to apply for the Multi‑Skilled Technician (MST) – Cardiac Progressive Care Unit role. This full‑time, 12‑hour night shift position provides patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, focusing on the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of patients.

Position

Purpose:

The Multi‑Skilled Technician will assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living, maintain patient room cleanliness, obtain vital signs, perform delegated EKG and phlebotomy, document patient data accurately, and carry out additional duties as assigned.

• Assist patients with bathing, skin care, grooming, and eating.
• Keep assigned patient rooms stocked, cleaned, and orderly.
• Obtain vital signs, including height, weight, blood glucose levels, and I&O.
• Perform EKG and phlebotomy as delegated by Staff RN.
• Document patient data accurately and completely.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of EKG and Phlebotomy courses and initial clinical competency course upon hire or transfer.
• Completion and maintenance of BLS healthcare provider training.
• Preferred:
  Previous patient care experience and/or technical education in a health‑related field.
