** Position Overview
*** The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a dynamic and accomplished researcher to join our esteemed faculty. The successful candidate will have a robust track record in cardiovascular research. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research aimed at understanding and treating cardiovascular diseases, leveraging our state-of-the-art facilities and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to driving forward innovative research initiatives that can translate into clinical practice.
** In addition to research responsibilities, the role involves active engagement in teaching and mentoring. The candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of cardiovascular specialists through lectures, seminars, and hands-on training. This position also includes opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, engineers, and basic scientists, fostering a synergistic approach to cardiovascular research.  Access to extensive institutional resources will support the candidate’s research endeavors, facilitating impactful discoveries and contributions to the field of cardiovascular medicine.
*** Duties and Responsibilities*
* * The duties for this position include writing and publishing research in high quality peer reviewed, scientific journals; attending and making presentations of research at national and international scientific conferences; and developing national and international scholarly reputation.  The position also Instructs and mentors junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents and fellow trainees; participates in department, college and university committees and initiatives.  

In addition, the position also conceptualizes, plans, designs, implements and conducts research studies in the area of cardiovascular medicine; develops and writes grant proposals to seek and obtain funding to support research program; obtains and maintains NIH RO1 or equivalent funding.
